Charles Ray Allison 60, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. A service to celebrate Charles’ life will be 11:30 A.M. Friday at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Charles was born June 2, 1950 in Stoddard Co., MO. He was the son of Miles Allison and Maude May Fox-Allison. He attended Puxico High School in Puxico, MO and Lakeview High School in Decatur, IL. He worked as a Millwright and retired in 2006 (38 years) from Archer Daniel Midland Co. of Decatur, IL. He married Sue Catherine Smith on June 18, 1968 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death. He married Henrietta Jayne Wright-Schoning Allison on Sept 25, 2004 in Moweaqua, IL.
He leaves two daughters: Pamela (Richard) Blades and grandchildren: Destiny Allison, Dillan Sirbaugh and Dalton Allison of Moweaqua, IL, Shelby Tyler and grandchildren: Levi Perryman, Lindy Perryman and Isaac Tyler of Moweaqua, IL. He also leaves his wife Jayne: three step daughters, Sheila Allison of Assumption, IL, Theresa Powell of Blue Mound, IL, and Angela (William) Dunn of Moweaqua, IL. Step-Grandchildren: Frank Sloan (Blue Mound) Jordan Joshua and Jaysen Crose (Moweaqua) and Amber Mast (Assumption) A Step-son, Edward Allison of Puxico, MO. He leaves two sisters: Opal Allen of Bloomfield, MO and Glenda Caulfield of Puxico, MO. Two brothers: Billy Allison of Puxico, MO and Bobby Allison of Decatur, IL, He leaves a half-sister, Charlotte (Lee) Godat of De Soto, MO.
Charlie was a very family oriented man who believed in living the simple way of life. His greatest joy was in his grandchildren. He loved old tractors and tinkering with old mowers and working in his garden. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by a wife, his parents, two sisters, two brothers and five half- brothers.
